Coaching for Busy Moms

Get off the merry-go-round, friend.

Busy moms might want help with:

  • transitioning to/away from paid work (the mom thing is work of course, it just pays terribly)

  • prioritizing wellness goals (like you know how your kids have to eat/sleep/move? so do you!)

  • enriching existing relationships or making new friends (no one will make you feel more validated than a mom-friend, promise)

  • starting/returning to a joyful hobby (more joy for you=more joy for your family)

  • saying “no” to kids/spouses/work/family, so that you can say “yes” to your goals (you’re not a monster, you’re a person with needs—gasp!)

I’m a mom.

It’s a crazy thing to be. I mean, sometimes you walk into your own bathroom and there’s a poop on the floor. How did it get there?? No one knows. That’s wild.

What’s more, a lot of us don’t even know who we are anymore. Why? Because we’re busy as hell. And the last time we stopped to check in with ourselves was some time in the early 2000s. Since then, we’ve had one or more offspring, maybe burned through a career or two, and now even our Spotify account doesn’t know who we are. It’s like do you want to listen to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Taylor Swift?? Geez, I don’t know. What kind of music did I used to listen to? Is Ben Folds still touring? (Yes, he is. And he’s like 60.)

I remember back when my kids were both still in diapers, and I was working my first full-time job as a professor, I came home exhausted every day.

It was like: kid drop-off, teaching, meeting, meeting, meeting, kid pick-up, make dinner, bedtime routine, drop dead into bed.

Around and around on an endless loop.

Then someone said to me,

”You built this life for yourself, but you didn’t leave any room for you in it.”

I bet a lot of us could say that.

Look around your home. Look at your calendar. Heck, look at the apps on your phone.

Where are you in all of this?

Coaching is an invitation to get off the merry-go-round.

Start redesigning your life so that you’re the star of the show.

Imagine that.

A home with space for you.

A calendar filled with your activities.

A Spotify list that you can get down to.

You built this life.

Now let’s make room for you in it.
